Felt birds make a poetic duo that's perfect for decorating your home, celebrating the poetry of nature or enchanting your Christmas tree... robin and the blue tit are handmade in my workshop in Corsica using top-of-the-range felt made from Oeko-Tex 100-certified merino wool.
It's a natural and sustainable decoration, created independently. Slight variations make each piece unique, a guarantee of authenticity.

This toy is handmade from high-quality, solid wool felt. Slight variations make each piece unique, a guarantee of authenticity.
The felt and seams are strong, so children can play with their toys freely and with confidence.
100% wool
The pure merino wool fabric is natural or dyed to a deep, intense colour, certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and EU toy standards UNE-EN71/72.
100% felt virgin wool
The wire seams or parts of the toy is 100% cotton certified Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
The padding 100% natural Breton or Ariège wool.
Wool is a natural, noble, renewable and recyclable material.

Caring for woollen toys
One of my toys was mistakenly put in a 30-speed machine with 1000 revolutions and it became very deformed. My felt manufacturer recommends not washing felt.
It's important to remember that wool doesn't retain odours or dust, so all you need to do for routine maintenance is shake the toy or pat it gently. Let it breathe through the window. Wool is not mite-friendly either: it is naturally anti-parasitic and anti-fungal.
Atelier Petites Formes toys don't require any special cleaning unless you really need it. Here's my advice:
For dry dust: vacuum or brush.
For stains, use a damp sponge and Marseille soap or a suitable ecological stain remover. Blot up damp stains immediately.
Not machine washable.
